“Homosexuality, is a sin.”
Sen. Rob Portman is officially the only seated GOP senator to not oppose gay marriage. This is both exciting and heartwarming. As one who can attest to coming out to conservative parents, mine being mega-church pastors, I can attest to how terrifying it can be, but upon his son coming out to him, Sen. Portman has seemingly had a 180 degree shift on the matter of same sex marriage and is doing what any good father should do, ensuring a happy life for his son. It seems there actually may be hope for humanity. I for one believe this speaks to how different your perspective shifts when what was once a social issue, becomes a matter that hits home.

So, I’ve decided to switch it up a wee bit. As one with ADD, organizing does not always come naturally. Obviously, it makes sense to me in my own head, yet probably very little to anyone else… Therefore, I’ve created a second blog of sorts. I have bumped the title of my original blog, “Restless and Disgruntled,” ( restlessanddisgruntled.tumblr.com ) over to my new one. I will do my best to use this blog as a playground for my thoughts and the thoughts of others concerning all things political, social, lgbtq pop culture etc. I will also take submissions from other users and answer as many questions as possible.
As far as my original blog goes, it has been renamed, “A Dash of Guilt and Pleasure” ( adashofguiltandpleasure.tumblr.com ) and will retain its former usage as a reblogging, brain vomit, scrap booking mechanism. I will also post more of the controversial, “less safe for work” material on said blog, as the title suggests.
